Riders of the apocalypse

Hey guys, I am really inspired by all the work from you guys, it really keeps pushing me into new levels!

Right now I am trying a new approach to my "image creation process".
I didnt like the idea that I started digitally and finished it up digitally... means all is done in the computer. I love the smell, feel of real pencils colors aso.... so I tried to blend the medias....

This is still a WIP, I havent done anything in PS yet, this is all watercolors except the BG.... Conquest/Pestilence is still missing.... I am working on it..

Started working on a new workflow of the generation of a piece... I want to do more traditional stuff, so I start up traditionally and develop the piece as far as possible....then I scan it in, and refine it in PS

I know, again the screaming archetype, lol but what does a berserker do? Like going wild and screaming and threashing around, hes a maniac who drinks the blood of his foes... so hes drinking and not screaming ;-)

I ve been struggling woth my General a lot in the middle of it I noticed I find it a bit too ordinary, and this is DWV, man this has to be epic... well well I thought about throwing over board the whole thing.... nay I want to render it out to the end, and see what happens... I can only learn from this... can I ?

The second one is my take on the corrupt... I intend to do a big crature that is spilling forth its guts filled with eggs... from these its hatchlings hatch... they are the actual force of the corrupted... they overrun and rush its enemies.... to strike down the main body of the corrupted is nealry impossible beacause it is so hard to get there....

So here goes my Satans Gatekeeper. It was a lot of fun, and in the end I had a real struggle with those chains... but I wanted to do something with chains! I quite like it, how it turned out.... also wanted to use strong colors....

Halloween hommage

Heres my Halloween speedie, not as gory as I thought it would be ;-)

Big daddy pumpkin has done it yet again, his little treasure called pumpkin boy is angry and has just proved that he is even more thick headed than his old man himself.
Angrily he marches away from his now stupefied big daddy.....



BTW: I tried a new technique with this one, and I muat say wow! I took a photograph and started to paint over it until it was gone and my own image was there....
REally great to try out a diffrent color palette by using real ones.... what do you think, is this cheating??? I guess there are lots of artits that use a similar approach... arent there?

Sme speedies, again to practice mood and colors specifically....
I am trying to be bold and use thick strokes and rather sculpt with the strokes than build up like a machine... and it feels nice. :-)
